Day 57 Insanity: Max Interval Plyo (Final Week)

by Drew on July 22, 2011

Day 57 of Insanity was a hardcore round of Max Interval Plyo. There’s not really much for me to say that I haven’t already talked about in previous articles. This workout is a beast, and probably the toughest of the entire Month 2 (based on my experience).

Sure all the workouts are tough, but you need to be in great shape to stay alive for this one. In comparison to Day 51 Insanity Max Interval Plyo, I think that I did better last time, but I still dug as deep as I possibly could. I had a runny nose during the workout, but managed to make it through without any major problems.

Exercises that are Insane in this workout

Typically, the exercises that are ridiculous include: Power Jumps, Wide In and Out Abs, Power Push Ups, and Level 3 Drills. The toughest move in the entire workout is easily the three rounds of Power Jumps. By the third round, you should barely be able to stand up if you are going all out. I had to take a couple breaks during these (I couldn’t go rapid-fire the entire time). Even the Squat Push Ups and Globe Jumps were pretty darn challenging today. I felt in shape, but the workout was clearly pretty damn tough.

The final week of Shaun T’s Insanity has arrived

My final week of Insanity has finally arrived and the first day of the last week is done. I think that I’m going to continue the program even after the regular calendar schedule ends. It’s a fun workout that pushes me to the max. I might look online to see if there are any other challenging Beach Body workouts available. Finishing the Insanity after doing 2 rounds of P90X is going to feel really good. The bottom line is: I’m excited that this workout is almost over and that I’ve had so much fun with it!

Noticing some health benefits from working out daily

Besides feeling more in shape, there are some mental benefits that I’m noticing associated with working out every day. I have noticed that I am able to focus better in school in class; I normally am not able to focus very well. I didn’t immediately notice the improvement in focus, but near the end of the program, it has become a lot more noticeable. Also, I have noticed that I am way more mentally relaxed than I was before the program; I don’t get stressed out by minor things as easily. It’s pretty cool to notice stuff like this and feel way better than when I started this heavy cardiovascular training. Anyways, tomorrow I have Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Abs in store, so I’ve got to get some good sleep tonight so that I’m ready to roll.
