Day 58 of Insanity was Max Cardio Conditioning with Cardio Abs afterwards. In comparison to Day 52 of Max Cardio Conditioning + Cardio Abs, I think that I did just as good today (maybe even better) than I did then (last week). The toughest part of this workout is that there are no built in water breaks. With that said, I thought that it was easier to do this workout in comparison to yesterday (Day 57 Insanity: Max Interval Plyo).
I am feeling awesome knowing that I only have a total of 5 days left before I finish this Insanity program; I’m in the final stretch. The only thing that worked against me today during this workout was the fact that I had a wicked stomach ache.

Eating carbs before bed is a bad strategy for me
I’m thinking about cutting carbohydrates as much as possible in the future because I have read about “low carb diets” being healthier than those which are high in carbs. I don’t feel good when I eat a lot of carbs (e.g. bread, cereal, granola bars, etc.). I think that I need to start eating more vegetables in my diet and dropping carbs as much as I possibly can. I usually wake up with a bad stomach ache and it affects my entire workout when I eat carbs for dinner. Additionally, I would like to start eating a healthier diet than I currently am. I eat pretty darn well, but as of now, there is certainly room for improvement.
Tough exercises during the Max Cardio Conditioning
Probably the toughest few exercises in this particular workout include: Diamond Jumps, Ski Abs, Suicide Jumps, Basketball Shots, and In and Out Push Up Jacks – with the toughest exercise definitely being Diamond Jumps (I think Shaun T‘s crew would agree with me). However, the other move that was somewhat tough was Football Runs with Push Ups. I really liked recovering during the Over the River Hops (from side to side), but doing the “Power Knees” after this was super tough (especially on the second round).
Finishing with the Cardio Abs workout
After the regular workout, I had to hit up the Cardio Abs portion of the DVD. When you still have a stomach ache and are doing abdominal exercises, it can make your stomach ache worse. Anyways, I fought through this part of the workout and finished strong with those High Plank to Low Plank pulses. My allergies were also bad this entire workout (my eyes kept watering and it was tough to deal with). I survived though, and tomorrow I get to do the Max Interval Circuit so that should be fun.
