Compared to last month’s traffic, Andrew Pavelski dot com did very well! In my opinion, I slacked off with website promotion and mostly focused on generating good content. If you want to succeed in the blogging industry, you must find a way to promote the living daylights out of your website, keep visitors on your website, and still manage to find time to write a thought-provoking, inspiring, or informative blog entry!
Since February only has 29 days, I did get shorted at least one day’s worth of traffic when compared to other months. I have faith that this website will continue to grow as long as the necessary effort is put into creating valuable content each day. I will probably begin submitting more articles to article directories such as EZineArticles. I have thought about using the paid version of article marketer, and think that I will definitely invest in a lifetime subscription when I build up the assets.
Here are my traffic results for the month of February 2008:

Compared to last month’s traffic:
This month’s (February 2008) traffic:
Last month’s (January 2008) traffic:
Quick analysis:
As you can see, I’ve increased the number of total visits and total pageviews by several thousand! I like how I’ve been progressing and honestly thought that I wasn’t really going to get as much traffic this month as last month. Now that I think about it though, I know a lot more traffic building sources than I did last month, I have been around the web more, and am constantly learning and working to close the gap between me and my goal.
What I’m going to do in March to increase traffic:
- Be top commenter on a fairly well-known blog — Why? Being top commenter gets the most views out of all the commenters. People like to know who that crazy guy is that’s posting all the comments. Being top commenter also gets me above all other names on the “top commenters” sidebar link. This is a little experiment that I’m doing. I’ve considered being top commenter on Perfect Blogger dot com, who has 400 + RSS readers, and is having a contest this month where the top commenter gets $50 dollars. This could prove to be a win-win situation for me if I comment on Perfect Blogger: incoming traffic to my website via comments, $50 dollars, and probably a link to my website at the end of March announcing that I’m the winner! I’ll keep you all updated as to what I decide to do with this little commenting experiment! Try to hold yourself back from hijacking my idea! At least for this month ;)
- Continue dropping Entrecards — Though I don’t get much quality traffic from dropping Entrecards, it still does bring traffic. I’ve averaged about 41 seconds per visitor from Entrecard. I am not going to use the Power Dropping strategy as hardcore as I have in the past, but I will definitely drop my card on all blogs that I read. I may even consider getting a makeover on my 125 x 125 Entrecard ad and start paying someone to design me a more attractive one!
- Buy a custom design — I have been considering buying a new customized theme design for my blog. My current theme does look great, but I realize that the benefits to having a high-quality, customized theme can be tremendous. If not this month, next month. I have been procrastinating with getting this blog a “face lift” or “extreme blog makeover.” The design at affiliate confession looks phenomenal, and I think that getting my own unique theme would get more RSS subsribers and improve visitor frequency. I was thinking that I want to have a progress chart on the main page that shows my progress to my $10 million dollar goal. Today I realized that I’ve actually won a new “Blue Glory theme” from a contest at dnseo.net, which I am happy about and excited to try. You all need to let me know what you think of it — if you like it better than my current theme, please let me know! If you like the “Simple Red” theme better, tell me about it! If you are a custom designer, feel free to contact me with your rates and ideas if you’d like me to consider you when looking to make a purchase!
- Write at least one guest post — Guest posting is a great way to get exposure. I figure that if I am able to target one very popular blog, I will increase my RSS subscriber count and traffic to my website — especially if I share some quality content. Guest posting isn’t hard, it’s just a matter of spending time towards another website’s content in order to increase traffic! I’m thinking about skipping a day on this blog, writing a post on another blog, and submitting it. I’ll give you all the details on the traffic that the other site brings in!

5keep up the good work, you seem very dedicated and that always helps.
My first month with a new host and new domain went very well. I did have the benefit of having close to two years of content to use though.

6Wow Andrew you blew me out of the water for this past month. I guess I need to focus on content more and less advertising. It looks like you are doing an awesome job on growing your blog.

8Hey Andrew, great job, I went away from your blog for a few days and already there are quite a few new articles!
A question : Do you already earn money with 4000 more visits/month?

9Hey Dan — The compliment is definitely appreciated! I do earn some money, but right now I’m more focused on building up traffic than earning. I want my visitors to know that I can produce quality content before I go ahead slapping up ads. I do have some affiliate marketing experiments in the works that I will let the community know about at some point. Thanks for stopping by Dan ;)
