Lately, I’ve been slaving away at recruiting high-quality, successful Wordpress plug-ins for this website. My initial plan is to get all of my WordPress plug-ins installed, then begin writing posts. In this post, I’ve provided you with a high-quality list of my recommended plug-ins.
If you don’t already have these installed on your Wordpress, I highly recommend that you check them out!
The extensive plug-in list:
- Ad-Sense Earnings Plug-In - This allows me to see how much money I’ve made w/ Google Ad-Sense w/ out having to log-in @ google.com… I don’t know how effective this one is yet. I’m looking for promptness, whether it delivers the earnings report as quickly as logging into google. If this plug-in works out, it will really be a timesaver!
- Akismet - Of course I’m going to activate my Akismet spam protection! If you don’t already have this one enabled, I highly recommend getting an API key from wordpress and activating this pup, that is, unless you want some cheap viagra, XXX, and a random collage of letters (owieja;liwe) in your comments section.
- All-In One SEO Pack - This brilliant plug-in allows you to customize your website description as you want them to appear in search engines.
- FeedBurner FeedSmith - As described in wordpress: “This plugin makes it easy to redirect 100% of traffic for your feeds to a FeedBurner feed you have created. FeedBurner can then track all of your feed subscriber traffic and usage and apply a variety of features you choose to improve and enhance your original WordPress feed.” Basically, this plug-in hooked me up FAT with some juicy feedburner RSS feed tracking…
- Paypal Donate - WOW. This plug-in makes it easy to install donation buttons on my website pages and posts. If you don’t have a Paypal donation button on your website. For some step by step instructions to get yourself a paypal donation button check this out.
- Semiologic Affiliate - I’ve recently signed up for the Semiologic affiliate program with hopes that it will help make this website some seriou$$$. This is a plug-in for members of the Semiologic Affiliate program. It supposedly will add my affiliate member code to all links pointing to Semiologic.com & GetSemiologic.com. (I will test it’s effectiveness after publishing this article). I will write more about my feelings towards this program in a future article.
- Wordpress Stats - This bad boy will allow me to collect information about: pageviews, which posts and pages are the most popular, where my traffic is coming from, and what people click on when they leave. It’ll also added a link to my dashboard which allows me to view all of my site’s stats on a single page!
- Subscribe Remind - Well, this plug-in is a must if you want a successful blog. After each post, a “If you enjoyed this post, make sure your subscribe to my RSS feed!” notification will be automatically inserted. The nice thing about this plug-in is that the insertion of the notification is on autopilot once it is activated .
- Contact Form - A plug-in guru, Douglas Karr has generously hooked all Wordpress users up with a free contact form plug-in! Once activated, this plug-in allows you to insert a contact form on pages and posts. You can customize your security question and response. I inserted one in my “contact” section for when someone has some information that I should know about. (To all my Bots out there: if you need help bypassing the security question on the contact form, you can contact me via the contact form to ask for assistance).
Since I hooked you all up fat with these primal plug-ins, don’t be shy to empty your Paypal accounts or drop off a few dollars in my donations section! If you already have some of these plug-ins, let me know how they are working out for you! If you choose to install these plug-ins, let me know how they work out for you… Initially, you will want good plug-ins that are easy to use for your website! Bookmark this page for future reference & recommend this page to friends that need some help getting off to a successful start! The ads are up and running, the donation icons are probably working… The first donation will be written about in my blog entry. Right now, the having the first honor of making a donation to www.AndrewPavelski.com is up for grabs! YOU COULD BE FIRST!
