Though I’ve only recently begun to embark on AndrewPavelski.Com’s $10 Million dollar mission (early January), this website has come a long way and has been progressing at an awesome pace. To help all of my readers catch up with and follow my progress, I’ve decided to implement a new “progress” link in the categories section. I am about one week away from the end of January and have been working hard to make this website a money making success story. If you haven’t noticed yet, my current primary focus is to increase website traffic. I wrote a great article last week entitled “How To Increase Website Traffic,” that I recommend reading if you haven’t already! Lately, I’ve been posting in and evaluating various blogging forums. I am evaluating these on 3 different levels:

A) Amount of quality information - Think about it: if you are able to benefit from each forum visit by learning new helpful information and strategies that you can apply to your own blog, then it’s a great forum!

B) Friendliness of the forum community - Let’s face it, if you are constantly feeling that the community members are being jerks, chances are the community is not well-moderated. Sure every once in awhile there may be someone with a bigger head than Mt. Rushmore’s, but if there are constantly negative people that only criticize, this is not a community that I recommend participating in.

C) How much traffic they bring to my website [via forum participation] - The amount of traffic that forums bring to your website is always a plus. Though I’d rather have access to quality information and a friendly forum community, bringing traffic to your website should always be evaluated. If there are 2 forums that are really enjoyable and have helpful info., yet one brings more traffic than the other to your website, chances are you will like the one that draws attention to your blog!

Forums which I’ve used:

  • Bloggertalk.com - Though there are over 14,000 registered members in this forum, I think only about 30 are currently active members. Out of all the forums I’ve experimented with, this one is definitely on the lower end of the spectrum. Currently it appears as though this forum was perpetrated by hackers. Most forum thread titles are written in a font that cannot be deciphered and inside these unreadable threads are links to porn (unacceptable for a blogging community). I hope that this website can turn things around and put an end to the spammers. Until they eliminate the spam and build up a quality community, I will not return.
  • Bloggst.com - This site has a good community, but more there are more asked questions than responses. If you aren’t a member of this forum, you can check it out, but it’s not something that I recommend. Basically this is an average forum with a decent community. I haven’t made many posts here, but my guess is that it would bring in low to moderate amounts of traffic.
  • StevePavlina.com - Some of the most supportive individuals post in the forum @ StevePavlina.com. If you aren’t already a member, I recommend checking it out! There are many people with great ideas that are willing to help you improve your blog by critiquing layout, helping plan goals, and contributing to a gameplan. Not only is this a great forum community for bloggers, there are great forum threads pertaining to virtually all aspects of life. This is a very interesting forum due to the diverse member base and unique ideas being shared. Another plus to becoming a member and posting in this forum is that I actually am able to generate quite a bit of traffic to my website!
  • AuthorityBlogger.com - I really think that this forum’s layout is great, well organized, and easy for navigation! The community has been great and given AndrewPavelski.Com nothing but helpful suggestions and positive feedback. The traffic that this forum generates for my website is moderate. I think it is valuable to register if you aren’t already a member!
  • DigitalPoint.com - Digital point forums have a great knowledge base and wide variety of helpful blogging information. If you aren’t already a member and are interested in learning successful blogging strategies, marketing techniques, and interacting with a very knowledgeable community, I recommend that you register and begin participating A-sap. Out of all the blogging forums in which I participate, this forum is the most helpful and has a very large number of active users [24 / 7]! This is great news and pretty much guarantees several responses for any questions you may ask. This site has potential to significantly increase your website’s traffic. You are really missing out if you aren’t already a member!
  • Bloggeries.com - What’s nice about this forum is the fact that you can earn money from the ads that they display on your forum posts. All that needs to be done is the pasting of your adsense number on their registration form! Overall, I am having some success with this forum and enjoy posting there. They have an Entrecard drop widget as well, so I know they are up to date with blogging technology. Though this site doesn’t have a large blogging community (at 543 registered members), I suggest checking it out and making a personal evaluation.
  • TrueBlogging.com - Though I am definitely not a fan of lime green thread links, this forum appears to be well established and has a good community. For some reason, after registration, my account has not yet been approved so I am not able to reply to any current threads or start a new thread. Hopefully I am able to post soon and write a better evaluation!
  • BloggerForum.com - Based on reactions to my forum posts, this blogging forum has an awesome, supportive community! What’s nice about this forum is that it automatically subscribes your “user account” to receive responses from threads in which you posted. I am able to log on, check my “user account’s inbox,” and click on all links to my posts in which people have responded. This forum also has a nice, quality layout and I really enjoy participating in such a quality forum.

If you are considering posting or becoming a member of the forums that I’ve reviewed, I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing some of your threads! When posting in forums, I always try to write sincere posts that help others. I find that by truly being sincere, you increase the community’s value by increasing the overall friendliness of that particular community! Though you may not always be able to include links to your website within your posts, never be afraid to use forums as a valuable website marketing tool. If you want to succeed, forums are a great tool that can help you reach blogging and website success!
