Competition definitely gets tough in the “make money online” niche. There are so many people who are out to “make money online” and so many “make money online” websites, that it is definitely a challenge to achieve success in this field. The reason that it is so difficult to succeed in the “make money online” niche isn’t because there are so many “make money online” blogs — it’s the fact that there are actually already very many high-quality “make money online” blogs that contain an abundant amount of advice! As you already know, I’m more than ready for the “make money online” challenge! My $10 Million Dollar Goal proves that!
If you want to succeed in the “make money online” niche:
- You’ve got to separate your website from the pack — My website is a form of a “make money online” website with a $10 Million Dollar goal! I suggest creating an addicting logo and website theme that readers will enjoy like Jason Boom’s. Yes, content is always the best attribute on any website, but if you don’t have a catchy theme, consider yourself “left behind.” I think that my theme currently looks very professional and am happy with the fact that most of my readers enjoy my current theme. My goal definitely separates my blog from the pack, though, I think a customized theme from someone like Unique Blog Designs would definitely help this site out!
- Know your advertising — It is important to not only know the rules and regulations for each advertising company you register with, but to know which advertisements are able to generate the most bang for your buck. How do you figure out which advertisements work best on my blog? You figure that out through experimentation! Don’t put your advertisements a certain way because you saw that they looked good on another website. Put your advertisements the way that you have proven to generate the most money. Never put all of your “eggs in one basket” when it comes to advertising. Survey your options and sign up for many different advertising networks. Don’t be afraid to try something new! Switch things up, throw some Bidvertiser where you usually put that Adsense ad. It’s simple things like experimentation that help you know your advertising and which advertising will help your site achieve it’s maximum earning potential.
- Be competitive — If you are going to step up to the plate in the “make money online” niche, you better be prepared to step up to the challenge and man-up to any situations that may decrease your blog readership and overall growth. What type of situations could cause this? Lack of posting, failure to generate valuable content, and failure to promote your blog through new social networking programs. To be competitive, the best thing you can do is be yourself while keeping the reader’s best interests in mind. Be interesting and informative and cater to your readers! Being interesting and informative will definitely keep your blog competitive with the rest of those in the “make money” niche!
- Share “link love” — If you don’t know what sharing link love is, or aren’t sharing any, you are definitely missing out! Check out this post to discover what sharing a bit of “link love” could do for you! Link-love is a win-win situation for all bloggers, especially those in the “make money online” niche. Sharing link love is a great way to provide readers with another point of view. In nearly all cases, those bloggers that share link-love with other related quality blogs, are able to succeed! Never be afraid to drop a link to an interesting article or post on another blog!
- Take the necessary steps — If you want to blog about making money online, you definitely should actually know how to or have a genuine interest in making money online. Set goals to actually make money, know how you’re going to make the money, and learn the ropes if you don’t already know them. I’ve read countless “make money online” blogs and e-books and consider myself to be very knowledgeable in the “make money online” niche. You’ve got to always stay “on the grind” so to speak, and have a good plan of action to make your dream a reality! If you are constantly posting about what you had for dinner on a “make money online” blog, chances are good that unless you are John Chow, you are not taking the necessary steps to make money online!
- Constantly be learning – If you are considering surviving in the “make money online” niche, you must definitely know how to jump at new, innovative opportunities that may help you increase website traffic and maximize blogging profits. Staying “on your toes” and constantly being aware of the next, newest opportunity is a definite must. It is important to always be aware of new opportunities to learn new info. — nobody knows everything about making money online. A great way to constantly engage in learning is to constantly be reading and participating in other niche-related blogs. Forums can also provide great insight into the latest blogging trends. If you aren’t already registered and participating in a forum, I highly recommend that you start!
- Stay determined and focused — The minute your determination and focus let up, is the minute your blog slips to the back. It is a must to stay determined and focused through all adversity. It may be tough to post once a day, but it may also be what separates your success from the next man’s demise! If you’ve set a goal, it is important to make a commitment towards the achievement of that goal! If you’ve been following along this blog, you’ll know that I’ve been straight up relentless towards the achievement of my goal! If you stay focused and determined for long enough, positive results will naturally follow! Want to learn how to write a quality blog article in just 60 minutes? Check out my article entitled: “Blogging Productivity: Writing Concentrated Articles.”
- Work to “make money online” – Don’t let anything come between you and your final goal. If you are blogging about making money online, you should at least be determined to “make money online.” Set goals and work to actually make them happen. Getting a .blogspot domain, posting once a month, and throwing up some Google Adsense won’t even make the cut. If you are at all serious about blogging or generating an online income, you better be working to make it happen by taking the right steps.
In the end, if you are serious about making money online, you can definitely make it happen! If you want anything bad enough, you can make it happen! I am giving you a heads up of what you are going to need to know if you are planning on surviving in the “make money online” niche. Do yourself a favor, re-read this post and see if you have what it takes to make money online! In essence, Henry Ford sums it up best when he says: “Whether you believe you can, or you can’t, you are right!” What do you believe?

1Great website and good post !
I wanted to tell you that one of the reason that makes me visit your website is that you are so sure and determined about your goal. The faith you have in this goal is definitely drawing traffic (at least me ;) )
Keep up the great work, I’m excited to see how it goes for you

4Your goal reminds me of all those chumps in high school who think they are going to be the next Michael Jordan. Bold and Brash, sort of egotistical. Shameless self-promoting, and sometimes annoying.
But ya know what, I bet MJ was the same way in high school haha
Good luck to your almost unattainable and ridiculous goal. It is so ridiculous, you might just succeed :)
Cheers!

5Well, think what you want of my goal — either way, I appreciate your comment. Comparing Andrew to MJ — (nice touch ;)). Thanks for stopping by Scott.

6Hi Andrew, thanks for the kind words about my blog’s design. I’m glad you liked it. What a great post! How did I miss this earlier in the week? I just noticed it on technorati. Hmmm.
About your goal — it’s not the end result but the journey that’s rewarding. I’m sure you can do whatever you set your mind to, just keep your eyes open…the opportunities are there.
Keep it up!

7No problem Jason, your design is very catchy. The journey is definitely the most rewarding aspect of my goal. Thanks for sharing an inspiring comment!

10Hello,
First time here and I really enjoyed the post… I am in that predicament of the MMO niche. These are some great tips to get started and serious… I really liked the seperate yourself from the pack section. This is very competitive area and I agree that peeps need to pick a certain area of the IM world and try to dominate it first, then move on and on with the rest…

11Hi Toki — Welcome to the community and I’m glad you enjoyed this post. Whether you choose the make money online niche or not should be determined by how passionate you are about the topic. In my opinion, it’s definitely tougher to get started in the MMO niche, but you will still succeed if you put in the necessary time and effort. ;)

12I just started a MMO site…kind of. I actually think I definitely started a new niche. It is the NMMO which stands for “NOT making money online.” You can read all about my losing adventures at:
http://www.imakenomoney.com
It is funny stories about how I royally screw up internet marketing 101. I am also looking for user contributed stories so if you have a good one to share be sure to contact me.
Thanks for the article and the great site.

14Stay in the game and persist. I am always intrigued by the number people (some not that bright) getting paid lots of money in all sorts al places simply because they have stuck at thier task and hang around long enough to succeed.
