1) Start a blog or website — Just by starting a blog or a website, you are not by any means guaranteed to make money. The key to turning your website into a money maker is to boost your website traffic to a large, frequent reader base. You will not generate a large amount of long-term, quality readers if you don’t write quality content. When you are able to write quality content that actually provides value to your readers, then you will be able to successfully monetize your website or blog. The amount of content, quality of content, and marketing that your blog gets across the internet to help boost your traffic will determine how successful your website becomes and how quickly it becomes a success story. One huge myth is that if you create a website with a good design, upload a bunch of your favorite videos and pictures, it is guaranteed to attract visitors. For all the n00bs to blogging and website creation, just because you have a site with cool content, you are by no means guaranteed traffic. What will guarantee traffic is providing your readers with valuable content on a consistent basis over a long-period of time. Time is a huge factor in the blogging world, especially if you don’t have much money to spend on marketing. The longer you stick around in the industry, the more your earning potential will increase. Google and other search engines give better rankings to sites that have been around for awhile and blog readers find sites that have been around for a few years to have more reliable information, more experience, and more credibility. So if you are considering starting a blog or a website to “get rich quick,” it won’t happen. If you are planning on staying in the industry for the long-term, you will be rewarded with a nice healthy paycheck from blogging or maintaining your website.

2) Build A Niche Store (BANS)

Lately, I have been exceptionally interested in the concept of building a niche store a.k.a. BANS. I am a regular reader of affiliate confession and other various affiliate marketing sites and a lot of them talk about using BANS. With BANS, you can basically “build a niche store” containing whatever product you want your site to specialize in. After you learn more about what your site is going to specialize in and set up your store by including helpful articles and a nice layout, you are ready to start earning money off of your BANS. You sell products straight off of e-bay and earn affiliate commissions off of your site. Initially, becoming familiar with the BANS program and concept may be a little difficult. If you are willing to put in the necessary effort to create a BANS site, it could prove to be a nice money maker. You will have to work with keywords and learn how to market the living daylights out of your site. Once you have the basics down and become familiar with everything — it will naturally become easier to use. Like I said, I have not yet used the BANS software, but am highly interested in building a niche store when I have time. I don’t want to start too many online projects without finishing and not be able to balance my online ventures with life! You can currently purchase BANS for $97 dollars, which from the information I’ve gathered from various affiliates, is a steal of a deal! 3) Use successful affiliate marketing techniques

Want to make a healthy living online without doing much? Well, think again because if you are planning on making money online, laziness is not an option. Affiliate marketing involves selling a company’s or several companies’ products online through various websites. For each product sale, you as the seller, earn a percent commission. I am currently signed up with a few affiliate programs and am by no means an expert in affiliate marketing, but have been reading e-books on affiliate marketing and affiliate marketing blogs. I am also a member of the Pepperjam Network which gives you a list of potential products to sell, you sign-up to become an affiliate, paste the advertisements on your website, and for each sale you earn money. Affiliate marketing isn’t very easy initially and I recommend that you don’t dive into the affiliate marketing field blindly! Read some affiliate marketing books / e-books to get a better understanding, read affiliate marketing blogs, check out the latest news and trends in affiliate marketing — educate yourself! Once you are educated, then you can jump into the field and begin learning from your experiences. As you become more familiar with the concept of affiliate marketing and begin to understand what’s involved, then things become easier and affiliate marketing becomes a fairly easy way to earn money online.

4) Sell your software programs

Are you an expert in designing software programs or games? You could set up a website and sell your programs to others. I believe that Download.com has an area where you can submit your software for sale or for free download across the web. Many successful program creators find a way to sell it via e-mail chains i.e. sending out a massive number of e-mails to friends, site visitors, etc. and including product information and a link to purchase your software. You can also design an affiliate program to help you sell the program. You pick the percentage payout for your affiliates — and watch your product get even more exposure! If you were able to create 100 good software programs or 1 phenomenal software program that gives value to internet users, you will have guaranteed opportunities to make a big chunk of cash!

5) Sell products on e-bay, become an expert seller

There are many great books that you can read for becoming an expert seller on e-bay. Some e-bay experts buy products at the lowest possible price and sell them for much more than they bought the products for in order to make a healthy profit. Again, nothing you should jump into blindly — as there are experts dominating this field and you will be wasting time if you don’t really have an idea of what to do. Tap into the great knowledge sources available and get your hands on all good e-bay books and listen to what the experts have to say. There are probably a fair amount of reliable e-bay blogs that you can check out too to find even more information. It is also possible to set up your own digital warehouse of merchandise on e-bay and put items up for sale. Many successful e-bay businesses are very efficiently utilized by buying a large number of products at wholesale price and selling them on e-bay by the thousands. It is important to find out “hot selling” items on e-bay and figure out what “niche” to invest in and at what time. If you are interested in dominating e-bay, you’d better be willing to learn what it takes.

6) Play poker online

I realize that various poker websites aren’t legal to use if you are a resident of the United States, but there are some that are available. Full-Tilt Poker, Poker Stars, and I think Bodog Poker are all poker rooms that you can use to legally gamble online in the U.S. From what I understand and my personal experience with online poker, I think that it is somewhat easy to make money online. There are many great books you can find on Amazon.com for increasing your poker knowledge. I usually play Texas Hold’Em and have found it to be a profitable online game. I have spent some time away from playing it, but have never really had a bad experience. Obviously, if you plan on making some extra money as a poker player, you’ve got to be able to manage your money, be experienced, and cope with emotions when you lose. There is no denying that you can have winning days and losing days, but the winning days will overpower the losing days if you become a good player. The great thing about online poker is that most sites have what are called “free-roll” tournaments that allow you to participate for free courtesy of the poker site, yet still allow you to win money. A professional poker player, Chris “Jesus” Fergusen took a challenge that involved him starting out at $0 and trying to make $10,000. He was successful, though it did take awhile for him to win his first freeroll… After he began winning more money, he used a strict bankroll strategy and the earnings climbed. This example demonstrates that with discipline, determination, knowledge, and proper experience you can literally turn nothing into something. If I was interested in poker, this is an area that I would definitely be willing to focus my energy on to make money online!

7) Create a popular video

Want to make money by creating a video? Chances are good that you stand to make a fair amount of money if you create a popular video that takes the web by storm! This expert “life-hacker,” Kipkay, is able to earn several thousand dollars off of most videos that he makes. You can tell by watching his videos, like: how to double your gas mileage, that he provides the viewer with tons of knowledge and value. He earns money from however many views his video gets on the Metacafe website. You can also upload your video through the program Revver and earn 50% of the advertisement money that is generated from your video. Therefore, the more people that watch your video, the better chances you have at earning large amounts of money. If you are good at creating, unique, innovative videos that you think stand to take the web by storm, chances are good that you will make a healthy amount of money from them!

8) Start your own online business

Initially, starting your own online business may be somewhat difficult, but the payout could prove to be phenomenal. Obviously, if you pick up on the next “hot” trend before everyone else does and form a website that sells that particular product, you will literally be guaranteed money. For all you thinkers out there or people that are able to pick-up on “the next trend” before the rest of the general public, you’ve got a phenomenal chance to succeed at starting your own online business. Jeremy Shoemaker a.K.a. Shoemoney was able to start the website NextPimp.com at the right time and quickly began raking in over $1,000 per day. It’s not uncommon for new, trends to skyrocket across the net. Even if you chose to sell a product that may not be the next trend, but are knowledgeable about it’s use and successfully market it, you can stand to make large amounts of money online.

9) Offer and sell your services or specialties

Things like writing articles for websites, becoming forum moderators, getting paid to guest write on a popular blog, are all things you can do to make easy money online! Are you a licensed therapist or counselor? You could start a website that offers online counseling sessions and in return, you will get paid a healthy amount of money. Are you a good photographer and interested in selling your photos? Ask yourself what you have to offer and where your strengths are. When you find an area you are strong in or passionate about, chances are good you can sell your services to others online!

10) Get involved in freelancing, become a freelancer

Are you good at creating graphics or other multimedia designs? Are you a great web page designer that could create customized blog designs at a price that beats the competition? If you are an expert in an area like designing websites or creating a customized blog layout, you will definitely have a great chance to make money online. There is always a demand for good freelance work! Marketing yourself and your skills is definitely an important first-step in the business. You must get your name around the web, consider buying advertisements on various websites, and starting your own blog about what you have to offer. There are many ways for a quality freelancer to make money on the web, they’ve just got to know where to look and how to market themselves! If you are interested in becoming a freelancer: read, attend workshops, attend schooling, do what you’ve got to do. In the end, no matter what you choose to do or become, you can learn!
