priority.jpgThe goal of most bloggers, especially in the “make money online” niche, is to attract visitors to their blog. Once they are able to attract large amounts of visitors to their blog, they are virtually guaranteed to make money with proper ad placement. The fact of the matter is, you won’t make much money off of your blog until you are able to consistently draw in large amounts of traffic. Consistently drawing in large amounts of traffic is usually a byproduct of things like: a quality website design, good promotion, longevity in the blogging industry, and most importantly, quality content. I’ll admit that I sometimes catch myself reading other blogs for way longer than I would’ve liked. I could spend all day reading motivating articles from Steve Pavlina’s personal development blog, but nothing would get accomplished on AndrewPavelski.com. If you are serious about blogging, you need to find a balance between the promotion and creation of your own website, and not spend all your time reading other blogs.

supermanconfidence.jpgMany bloggers hope to reach popular blogging status and earn a living online. I cruise various websites on a daily basis to see what other bloggers have been up to and enjoy staying updated with the latest knowledge around the blogosphere. What I have noticed is that many bloggers lack confidence. If you want to succeed anywhere, having confidence is a vital trait. Without confidence, you may have a great blog, with great content, but never fully achieve your maximum potential online. Want to give yourself and your blog a huge boost in confidence? I’ve done the research and found many great methods to help you boost your blogging confidence.

success1.gifWhat many people do not realize is that once a blog has become successful or has hit that magical 10,000 landmark of RSS subscribers, it is by no means guaranteed to keep generating income! Bloggers must work to keep pushing forward with marketing efforts and publishing new content. Just when you think your about to achieve your goals, things can heat up — sweat drips… It is important to realize that in successful online businesses, their owners did not slow their efforts when they got an initial taste of success. Instead, successful internet business owners and aspiring internet entrepreneurs keep pushing their standards even after significantly bridging the gap between their current position and their goals.

blogginginvestment.jpgInitially blogging is a bad investment

Initially, blogging can definitely be a bad investment. Paying for a domain name, finding a reliable web-hosting company, and setting up WordPress can take up a large chunk of time — especially if you haven’t done it before! It also takes plenty of work to type new posts, promote your website, and slave with the installation of WordPress plugins. A high-quality customized theme can run bloggers several hundred dollars. Depending on what a blogger decides to do or purchase for their blog, starting up a blog can easily put a small dent into one’s bank account!

balance-scale-redone.jpg There are many times that bloggers may feel overwhelmed in areas of life that aren’t even blogging related. I feel that no matter how much time you are currently spending blogging, you should always try to keep blogging in balance with other areas of life. If you don’t already know…: too much of any one activity can wreck havoc across other key areas of life. If you are a full-time blogger, how much time do you spend on the internet and blogging? No matter how much time you’ve spent blogging, how much time you plan to spend on blogging in the future, or how passionate you are about blogging, you need to be honest with yourself: Is blogging causing other areas of your life to suffer? I feel that it is important to spend quality time to write a new blog entry and market your blog, (especially if you are passionate about blogging), but you should always try to keep blogging in perspective with other areas of L-I-F-E ! If you haven’t already, I recommend reading my article: Blogging Productivity: Writing Concentrated Articles to help you learn how to maximize your blog writing quality, while minimizing time spent writing.
