Hey guys, just wanted to post a short post summing up my winnings this week and keep you informed.
The contest over at WinningTheWeb ended with a huge bang!
I was one of the lucky winners and happened to win 2 great prizes:
Earlier in the week, I happened to win money over at PerfectBlogging for being one of the top commenters. I put some effort into being a top commenter over at PerfectBlogging because they have a fair amount of RSS subscribers (450 +) and probably a fair amount of website traffic. I figured why not be a top commenter, get some extra exposure for my blog, and give myself a chance to win money?

Today is the It’s the final day of the craziest internet marketing contest ever. If you haven’t already signed up to participate, I highly encourage you to at least sign up and get some entries. There are tons of great prizes to win and judging by the participant numbers, everyone has a great chance to win. The contest ends at approximately 9 p.m. eastern daylight time - so don’t hesitate if you were thinking about signing up! It’s been an epic contest and I’m hoping that I win something great. I’ll definitely let you all know if I win any prizes :)
There are an estimated $15,000 in total prizes including: cash-money, 1 iPod Touch, tons of advertising on popular blogs, internet marketing training, memberships, an affiliate summit east pass, web site subscriptions, blog themes and many more. The list is insanely long for me to recap. Gyutae’s contest has increased the subscriber count over at WTW from under 400 to nearly 900 in less than 1 month! This contest has been a lot of fun for me to participate in and I hope everyone else feels the same.

The video that I’ve posted below from 45n5.com was very interesting and thought provoking. I’ve considered making several websites and cashing in on the smaller profits rather than focusing only on AndrewPavelski.com. I thought about what Mark Wielgus from 45n5.com had to say in this video and I personally think that making 100 websites that yield $30 dollars a month would be much easier than building 1 website that makes $3,000 dollars a month. Sure you’d need to take the time to build each site, promote each site, and work on website upkeep and maintenance, but once you get a nice system going, I could see how people could cash in. I’ve talked to several forum members in the various forums that I’m a member of who claimed that they make several thousands of dollars each month by running multiple blogspot blogs. One guy even said all he does is write product reviews, posts affiliate links (doesn’t spam), and makes a healthy chunk of change each month.

1. They give up before getting started
Take a look at all the blogs across the web. The majority of all blogs are either abandoned, non-updated, and not making any money online. What started out as a dream to make money quickly turned into an abandoned piece of work. Whether the person running the blog made a good decision to stop or not, I don’t know. What I do know is that if you fail to update your blog or “give up before you get the ball rolling,” you will not make money online. The people that have been making money online have been heavily involved with blogging for awhile. Many bloggers blog for months before they see their first adsense dollar. So what do I consider giving up early? If you have been blogging consistently for around 1 year, I’ll know that you aren’t giving up early. Anyone who posted consistently for around 1 year should be fairly successful in the blogging industry. So far, the quickest rise to fame that I’ve witnessed online was Alan Johnson’s blog that went from ZERO to 1,000 RSS subscribers in less than 30 days. You’ve got to be in the industry for the long-haul if you want to make money online. Time + Consistent Efforts (Posting & Promotion) are a formula for success. Check out my article Blogging: Short Term Investment Vs. Long-Term Investment Returns to enlighten yourself on the importance of “time” your blog has been online. If you want to survive in the make money online niche, or any niche for that matter, you must be willing to hang around for awhile! Give your blog some time, keep up your efforts, and keep pushing forward. With time comes valuable experience!

1) Freedom to work from anywhere
Provided the location that you want to work from has an internet connection, you have the potential to make money online. You could be chillin’ in another continent with a MacBookPro and wireless internet connection, blogging your heart away, traveling the world, and making a living online. Hypothetically, you could be at an all-inclusive resort, sippin’ a few Margaritas and still be working to make money online ;). I wouldn’t consider an all-inclusive resort a very productive work environment, but it definitely could be done. The possibilities of making money online are endless. Once you find a strategy that works for you and are willing to put in some hard work to make the money, things will get very easy. I have always enjoyed traveling, it’s great to see and experience what the world has to offer. If you are able to travel the world while making money from your online projects: I’d consider yourself living the internet entrepreneur’s dream! Having the ability to make money from any location with an internet connection sounds extremely appealing and a great perk that allows online entrepreneurs freedom that most workers do not have!

Competition definitely gets tough in the “make money online” niche. There are so many people who are out to “make money online” and so many “make money online” websites, that it is definitely a challenge to achieve success in this field. The reason that it is so difficult to succeed in the “make money online” niche isn’t because there are so many “make money online” blogs — it’s the fact that there are actually already very many high-quality “make money online” blogs that contain an abundant amount of advice! As you already know, I’m more than ready for the “make money online” challenge! My $10 Million Dollar Goal proves that!

“Winning The Web dot com” has definitely impressed me since the Tyler Cruz Vs. Gyutae Park drama! (I had no prior knowledge of Gyutae Park’s website until John Chow blogged about the Gyutae Park Vs. Tyler Cruz contest). Though I do enjoy reading both Tyler and Gyutae’s websites, I have become a “regular” reader of Gyutae’s articles over at “Winning The Web dot com.” Gyutae has a very “easy-to-read” and entertaining writing style. His blogging posts touch on topics ranging from: making money online to guerilla marketing techniques. I’ve found his blogging posts to be both insightful and inspiring. By just visiting WinningTheWeb, one can tell that Gyutae Park is definitely working hard to turn “Winning The Web” into an online success story!

A great way to increase overall visitors to your website is to form an alliance with like-minded bloggers. Though you may view people with your same blogging “niche” as competition, it is better to view them as friends and share some link love with them. I currently follow many websites and comment on all of them to let them know if I found their article helpful and to let them know that I enjoy reading what they publish on their blogs.
Websites that I’ve been currently following include:

After reading other blogs, I came to the conclusion that I haven’t been on the grind enough. There’s been a severe lack of promotion and writing blog posts. Yes, I have been very busy, but you know what they say about excuses…(or maybe you don’t)… Either way, I certainly feel like a man on a mission. Not only do I feel like a man on a mission, I know I’m a man on a mission. As a blogger, I need a way to constantly stay motivated and constantly keep myself productive. My strategy to stay motivated and productive with my blogging career is simple: Blog Or Die! Re-read that, think about it, let it sync in… BLOG OR DIE! For everybody out there that wants to make money online, you need to find ways to consistently stay motivated or the money-making will not happen, period! Initially, getting everything set up through Wordpress with the installing of plugins and Ad-Sense will get a new blogger pumped up and “motivated” about his new blogging expedition.
