superbowl-42-logo.gifDue to the Green Bay Packers’ devastating loss against the New York Giants, I do not care who will win Superbowl XLII in 2008! It would definitely be nice to see the Giants put up a good fight this Superbowl Sunday. It would also be nice to see the New England Patriots lay a royal smackdown on the Giants to claim a perfect season! A win may not be as easy as Pat’s fans believe: Eli Manning and the Giants have been playing exceptionally tough and deserved to take down the Packers at Lambeau. With that said, not only will Superbowl XLII be enjoyable to watch, but the commercials should be off the chain [as usual]! I’ve got some pre-ordered food including a large ham Sub-sandwich, Doritos, Chex Mix, Sodas — an essential balance of quality vitamins and vital nutrients ready for the big game. ;)

gyutae-wtw-tshirt.jpgWinning The Web dot com” has definitely impressed me since the Tyler Cruz Vs. Gyutae Park drama! (I had no prior knowledge of Gyutae Park’s website until John Chow blogged about the Gyutae Park Vs. Tyler Cruz contest). Though I do enjoy reading both Tyler and Gyutae’s websites, I have become a “regular” reader of Gyutae’s articles over at “Winning The Web dot com.” Gyutae has a very “easy-to-read” and entertaining writing style. His blogging posts touch on topics ranging from: making money online to guerilla marketing techniques. I’ve found his blogging posts to be both insightful and inspiring. By just visiting WinningTheWeb, one can tell that Gyutae Park is definitely working hard to turn “Winning The Web” into an online success story!

balance-scale-redone.jpg There are many times that bloggers may feel overwhelmed in areas of life that aren’t even blogging related. I feel that no matter how much time you are currently spending blogging, you should always try to keep blogging in balance with other areas of life. If you don’t already know…: too much of any one activity can wreck havoc across other key areas of life. If you are a full-time blogger, how much time do you spend on the internet and blogging? No matter how much time you’ve spent blogging, how much time you plan to spend on blogging in the future, or how passionate you are about blogging, you need to be honest with yourself: Is blogging causing other areas of your life to suffer? I feel that it is important to spend quality time to write a new blog entry and market your blog, (especially if you are passionate about blogging), but you should always try to keep blogging in perspective with other areas of L-I-F-E ! If you haven’t already, I recommend reading my article: Blogging Productivity: Writing Concentrated Articles to help you learn how to maximize your blog writing quality, while minimizing time spent writing. Below, I’ve evaluated several areas of everyone’s life and compared them to blogging.

Want to learn how to install Google Adsense advertisements into your Wordpress posts like the pros? If so, you’ve definitely found the perfect article. Though I haven’t experimented much with Google Adsense placement, I have looked at the “top money making websites” and have adopted their current Adsense placement strategies. I do not like placing Adsense ads. within all of my blog posts because it appears as a bit too “spammy.” However, when I do insert Adsense into a post, I want to make those posts and the Adsense placement look professional and still generate the maximum number of clicks.

Common traits of successful adsense integration include:

  • A 300 x 250 “square” Adsense box
  • Adsense placement is either: to the right or to the left of the text
  • Adsense is located near the top of Wordpress posts (this is a “hot spot”)

Lately, the program “Entrecard,” which allows web owners to drop a virtual business card when visiting other websites, has taken the blogging world by storm. According to Entrecard.com, bloggers now place “3,000 ads per day on Entrecard.” Currently, I have my Entrecard widget installed into this site’s right sidebar and though it is a bit big for the slot, it looks better than the smaller Entrecard widget option. Many people seem to be using taking advantage of Entrecard to spam their site’s name around the web. This is one reason that blogger John Cow felt compelled to remove the E-card widget from his website. In my opinion, much of the generated Entrecard traffic isn’t very valuable. Many people just quick look for the Entrecard widget, drop their card, and leave. There is definitely potential to have a high bounce rate from Entrecard visitors.

Though I’ve only recently begun to embark on AndrewPavelski.Com’s $10 Million dollar mission (early January), this website has come a long way and has been progressing at an awesome pace. To help all of my readers catch up with and follow my progress, I’ve decided to implement a new “progress” link in the categories section. I am about one week away from the end of January and have been working hard to make this website a money making success story. If you haven’t noticed yet, my current primary focus is to increase website traffic. I wrote a great article last week entitled “How To Increase Website Traffic,” that I recommend reading if you haven’t already! Lately, I’ve been posting in and evaluating various blogging forums. I am evaluating these on 3 different levels:

How much time are you spending writing blog posts? Do you have enough ideas about the content to write your posts in one sitting? Are you focused enough to write your blog entries in one sitting? Now, not every blogger is able to sit still and finish an article in one sitting, but I think it definitely helps to increase blogging productivity. I have tried writing posts with distractions and it is very less productive! At the beginning of my blogging career, I would constantly check my emails to see if I got a new e-mail pertaining my blog, or was qualified for a new affiliate program to help make my blog money. I would also have another browser tab open ready to write a forum post, other tabs open to check out another blog, and my cell phone sitting next to my computer monitor. Yes, I eventually did finish my posts [with distractions], but I do not think they were of the same caliber as my more “concentrated articles.” By “concentrated articles” I mean that I eliminated all distractions and wrote each of my newest blog posts in one sitting. Every blogger learns new lessons, and mine was that in order to make the best use of my time, I must allot a period specifically for blogging and eliminate all distractions while blogging. I have three main guidelines that I use when writing a new blog post. I encourage you to check them out and test them on your own blog to see if you are able to benefit.

If you don’t want to market your website, it doesn’t matter if you have the highest quality content in the world; nobody will be around to read it! When marketing your blog, do you have a sense of urgency to increase your blogs popularity? I’ve noticed that unless people own a blog that is already popular, most put half-hearted efforts towards blog promotion. If you cannot seem to find the necessary state of mind to begin marketing, here’s something for you to try: “Market like you’re trying to win a contest!” What exactly do I mean by “marketing like you’re trying to win a contest?” I mean that if you were trying to win a blogging contest with the rest of the web, you would take the necessary steps to win that contest. The steps that you would take to achieve that goal are the steps you should be taking right now! Now is when you should be bringing your A-game to the table! If you are marketing, but not marketing to ensure success and surpass your current personal best, your time spent with marketing efforts is being wasted. You all must realize that simple things like StumbleUpon and Digg will only help market your blog to a certain extent. Don’t get me wrong, social networking programs can definitely help, but you also must consider things like buying advertisements on other blogs and purchasing that new customized website layout.
